Imagining Murals

Creating murals has been a dream for many years. My practice in large-format screen printing and acrylic brush painting is a step toward realising this goal.

In the past, I painted murals for friends, exploring scale, colour, and composition. I have also worked on large-scale digital animations for TV programmes, and developed large-scale prints designed for buildings, giving me valuable experience in imagining visuals on a grand scale.

Here you can see mockups of how I hope my work could one day live on walls. This page is a glimpse into my vision of turning my art into immersive spaces.

Wakana .

I am a French-Japanese artist who has lived in Paris, Copenhagen, Tokyo, and now resides in Lisbon. Drawing inspiration from my multicultural experiences, I strive to capture the beauty of our world, with a particular focus on Japan and the changing seasons. Through my work, I aim to develop unique patterns and symbols that capture life's fleeting moments and scenery, seeking to uncover the depth that lies within even the most ordinary moments.

I specialize in handcrafted Screenprints and Risography techniques that render each print one-of-a-kind.
