About Wakanacolors

I am Wakana Pivoteau Sakihama, a French-Japanese brand and creative director, and a printmaking artist.

For 25 years I've shaped brands for global companies and independent makers alike, including five years as Head of Corporate Branding at Coloplast, leading its global brand across 50+ markets, work recognised with Red Dot, Top Com Gold and Grand Prix Du Design. You can see a selection under [Brand & Design]. Alongside it, I keep a personal art practice in Risography and hand-pulled Screenprinting, shown under [Art Prints].

I also lead workshops on kintsugi, matcha and origami at Sakura Copenhagen, a practice that informs how I think about brands: tradition, attention, and form that is both beautiful and functional.

Paris, Tokyo, Lisbon, and now Copenhagen: I move between these cultures, and they feed each other through craftsmanship, cross-cultural storytelling, and a special attention to the beauty and uniqueness of the imperfect. Japanese wabi-sabi meeting European form.

I hold a Master degree in Visual Arts and Communication.
