Kintsugi — repairing with gold

The Japanese art of mending broken ceramic with lacquer and gold leaf. The break is not hidden but honoured, the line of repair becomes the most beautiful part of the object. A practice of wabi-sabi in the hands: imperfection as history, time as a material, care as a finish. We use a kit specially developed to make the process approachable in a single workshop.
