It’s not about the happy ending, but the journey that led to it.
The ‘tako’ (octopus) symbolises flexibility, unpredictability, and sensuality. It’s a creature that can change its shape and color, constantly adapting to the situation. It resides in the depths of the ocean, equated with deep emotions. The tsuru birds (cranes), known for their long life span and the ability to fly high in the sky, symbolise happiness. The Mount Fuji and the moon represent the perfect balance of opposites - one symbolising stability and the other representing change.
